Effective date: 18 August 2026

Terms of Service

These terms apply to kedil.money, the Kedil web app, and the Kedil mobile apps for Android and iOS. "Kedil", "we" and "us" mean Kedil Money, the operator of these services. "You" means the person using them.

Kedil is a personal budgeting app. You upload or forward your own bank and credit card statements, and Kedil turns them into a spending picture you can act on. How we handle your data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

1. Acceptance

By creating a Kedil account or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Kedil.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract under Indian law. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything done through your account.

If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the effective date above and notify you by email. Continuing to use Kedil after that means you accept the change.

2. Your licence to use Kedil

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Kedil for your own financial record-keeping. You may not resell it, copy or reverse-engineer the app, upload someone else's financial data without their permission, or attempt to access another user's account.

You keep ownership of the financial data you put into Kedil. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Kedil is free to use today. If we introduce paid plans, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any charge applies to you.

3. Kedil is not financial advice

Kedil is an informational and record-keeping tool. Nothing in the app, on the website, in the calculators, or in any AI-generated summary is investment, tax, or legal advice, and none of it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything.

We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser and we do not manage money. Calculator outputs — rent versus buy, prepay versus invest, debt payoff — are estimates based on the assumptions you enter, not predictions of what will happen.

Kedil lists third-party financial advisers as a directory. We do not endorse, employ, or supervise them, and we are not responsible for any advice they give you or any arrangement you make with them.

Decisions about your money are yours. Consult a qualified professional before acting.

4. AI, accuracy, and your responsibility

Kedil uses AI to read your statements and suggest categories for your transactions. AI gets things wrong. Extracted amounts, dates and categories may be incomplete or incorrect.

You are responsible for checking what Kedil shows you against your own bank statements. Do not rely on Kedil's output for tax filing, loan applications, or any other official purpose without verifying it yourself. Your bank's statement is always the authoritative record.

5. Termination and deletion

You can stop using Kedil at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account, or at https://kedil.money/delete-account. What deletion removes is set out in section 8 of the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, misuse the service, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue Kedil or any feature within it. If we shut the service down, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.

6. Limitation of liability

Kedil is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every statement import will succeed.

To the extent Indian law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or any financial decision you make using Kedil. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim, or ₹1,000.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or gross negligence.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

8. Contact

For a formal complaint about the service or the content on it, contact our Grievance Officer, whose name and address are published in our Privacy Policy.

For anything else, write to kedil.money@gmail.com. We reply within 7 business days.
